Old Dodge trucks: they're not too common
but are great old trucks anyway.
Old Dodge trucks can be found for
sale but they are not as numerous as Fords or Chevys.
One of the reasons is that, although Chrysler used to
sell their trucks as Dodges or Plymouths or Fargos they
were made in far less number then Fords and Chevys.

Another
problem for the lovers of
classic Dodge trucks is the fact that
there aren't many dealers of parts for these classic
pickups. But you can find lots
of other people who love
old Dodge pickup trucks and some
dealers who can supply you with new and used parts for
them. Here we will be helping you to find some of these
dealers.

Chrysler
has an important manufacturing plant in Windsor, Canada,
just across the river from Detroit and that plant used
to be the main assembler of Fargo trucks up until 1972.
The Fargo Motor Company began in the United States in
1913 long before the brand became a part of Chrysler.
As for Plymouth trucks they were first produced
by Chrysler around 1928 and lasted until 1972
although the Plymouth Arrow truck, the last one
to carry the Plymouth badge, was really made in
Japan by
Mitsubishi. Today you can't buy a new Plymouth
anymore, either car or truck because the brand ceased to exist in
2001.
As we
said above there are lots of people who love old Dodge trucks as well as some beautifully restored Dodge
pickups. With Fargo and classic Plymouth trucks the
story isn't the same and its very hard to see one of
those in good condition today. If they exist they are
the most expensive of the bunch.

Dodge Army trucks
were some of the best the United States sent all
over the world during WWII and they are
being used today in transportation and also
in recreational activities.

Although it will be very hard to locate some models of
classic Dodge pickups you may be lucky and find the
truck you want among
old
dodge trucks for sale. When it comes to classic
trucks we are firm believers in patience and we will
always recommend that you don't get too excited in your
hopes of finding the exact model of old Dodge truck you
want in the condition you want. Look and look again and
your efforts may be rewarded with a great find.
Even if the truck you find needs restoration it may be a
good deal and a good investment. In fact, unlike modern
trucks that loose more than half their value in four or
five years, classic trucks become more valuable every
year. They don't make trucks like that anymore, right?
A good resource you can use to learn what you want to
know about old pickups made by Chrysler is to visit the
sites of Mopar clubs. There are many on the Internet and
you just have to type Mopar Clubs in the search box of
any search engine to find a long list of clubs. Again,
be patient and keep looking because many of the clubs
will deal only with the modern Dodge Ram pickups and not
with
old Dodge trucks at all.
